Product Introduction
The DZMF series (energized type) DC electromagnetic brake is an energized type brake. The product features a compact structure, reliable performance, convenient installation and adjustment, large braking torque, and long service life.
The DZMF series DC electromagnetic brake is matched with the Y2 series motor to form the YEJF series electromagnetic braking three-phase asynchronous motor. The motor has a beautiful appearance, fast braking, accurate positioning, and can achieve special braking functions through automatic control, etc., and is applied to various transmission machinery equipment.
Working Principle
Taking the motor as an example, when the motor is working, the brake is not working. When the motor stops working, the brake is energized. At this time, the electromagnet generates a strong electromagnetic force, overcomes the pulling force of the reset spring steel plate, attracts the friction plate, contacts the friction plate, generates a frictional torque, and makes the rotating parts brake quickly to achieve accurate positioning. When the power is off, the pulling force of the reset spring steel plate makes the friction plate return to its original position. At this time, the rotating parts are freed from the constraint of the frictional braking torque, and the motor shaft can rotate freely.
Product Features
1. The overall protection level reaches IP23;
2. The cooling method of the brake is natural cooling;
3. The insulation class is F class;
Matching Parts Supply
In order to facilitate the use of the DZMF series DC electromagnetic brake by our customers, in addition to providing matching rear covers, junction boxes, and windshields, our company also provides drawings of rotors of corresponding specifications. As long as they are processed according to our drawings, YEJF series braking motors can be produced.

1. Schematic diagram of the structure is as follows:
2. Brake air gap value requirements
3. Air gap inspection
As shown in the structural diagram, the distance between the electromagnet 5 and the friction plate 7 is called the air gap (δ). The normal working air gap (δ) does not exceed the specified working air gap value. The motor is adjusted to the initial working air gap range when it leaves the factory. After running for a period of time, the air gap (δ) increases due to friction plate wear, which will affect the normal attraction and braking effect of the brake. Therefore, after the motor has been used for a period of time, the air gap (δ) size should be checked according to the large air gap value and the feeler gauge size selected. During the inspection, the feeler gauge can be directly inserted into the air gap (δ). If it can be inserted, it indicates that the air gap (δ) is too large and needs to be adjusted.
4. Air gap adjustment
Loosen the hexagon socket head screws 12 (three for DZMF05-20, four for DZMF40 and above). Screw two hexagon socket head screws 12 into the disassembly process screw holes of the fixed bushing 11 to push out the fixed bushing 11, and the combination of the friction plate and the friction disc seat will also loosen. Select three feeler gauges according to the initial working air gap value and insert them into the air gap (δ) marked in the figure. The three feeler gauges are evenly distributed at 120°. Use a wooden mallet to tap the fixed bushing 11 in the direction of the shaft extension. Through the cooperation between the fixed bushing 11 and the tapered inner hole of the friction disc seat, the friction disc assembly is fixed, and then the hexagon socket head screws 12 are tightened. When tightening, the friction disc assembly moves outward, and the feeler gauge will loosen accordingly and can be pulled out. Note that when tapping the fixed bushing 11 with a wooden mallet, be sure to tap it tightly, otherwise, when the hexagon socket head screws 12 are fixed, the friction disc assembly will shift too much, and the air gap (δ) will become larger. Therefore, we must coordinate the selection of feeler gauges and the debugging method.
If there is no standard feeler gauge for air gap adjustment, similar thickness iron sheets can be used as a substitute.

Serial Number Fault Phenomenon Inspection Location and Method Troubleshooting Measures 1 Brake does not engage (1) Use a multimeter to measure the resistance of the excitation coil to check for disconnections;
(2) Check if the DC input power supply to the brake is normal;
(3) Check if the brake lead connections are loose;
(4) Check if the air gap was incorrectly adjusted during installation.(1) Repair or replace the yoke if there is a disconnection;
(2) If abnormal, repair and input according to the nameplate requirements;
(3) Retighten;
(4) Readjust the air gap.2 Brake ineffective or insufficient braking (1) Friction pad wear, increased working gap, reduced torque;
(2) Friction pad damage.(1) Readjust the gap;
(2) Replace with new parts. -
