    Product Introduction

    The DZM0.5 and DZM03 DC electromagnetic brakes are a type of brake. Their structure and mounting dimensions are specially designed for specific applications and are suitable for operation without cooling.

     

    Working Principle

    When energized, the electromagnet 6 generates a strong electromagnetic force to attract the armature 5, compressing the brake spring 7. The two opposing surfaces of the friction pad 2 are released from the pressure of the armature 5 and mounting plate 4 (or other friction surface), allowing the rotating body to rotate freely. When de-energized, the pressure of the brake spring 7 presses against the armature 5, pressing it tightly against the friction pad 2, generating a strong frictional braking torque, causing the rotating body to brake quickly and achieve accurate positioning.

  • Serial Number Fault Phenomenon Inspection Location and Method Troubleshooting Measures
    1 Brake does not engage (1) Use a multimeter to measure the resistance of the excitation coil to check for disconnections.
    (2) Check if the rectifier's DC output power supply is normal.
    (3) Check if the brake lead connections are loose.
    (4) Check if the brake has accumulated dust on the armature and electromagnet surfaces, blocking the air gap due to prolonged use.
    (1) Repair or replace the yoke if there is a disconnection.
    (2) Replace the rectifier.
    (3) Retighten the connections.
    (4) Disassemble and clean the surface of foreign objects.
    2 Brakes ineffective or unreliable (1) Friction pad wear, increased working gap, and reduced torque.
    (2) Friction pad damage.
    (3) Load inertia is too large, exceeding the braking torque.
    (1) Readjust the gap.
    (2) Replace the friction disc with a new one.
