Brake pads are very important for any machine. Of course, mining brake motors are no exception. Brake motor pads wear out gradually during use. When they are worn to a certain extent, they must be replaced, otherwise the braking effect will be reduced, and even safety accidents may occur. The following specifically introduces the methods for checking wear and replacing brake pads.

Brake pads are very important for any machine. Of course, mining Brake motor is no exception. Brake motor pads wear out gradually during use. When the wear reaches a certain level, they must be replaced; otherwise, the braking effect will be reduced, and even safety accidents may occur. The following is a detailed introduction to the methods for checking wear and replacing brake pads.

  1. Under normal driving conditions, check the brake shoes every 5000 kilometers. Not only should the remaining thickness be checked, but also the wear condition of the brake shoes, whether the wear on both sides is the same, and whether they can return freely, etc. If any abnormality is found, it must be dealt with immediately.

  2. Brake shoes are generally composed of an iron backing plate and friction material. Do not replace the brake shoes before the friction material is worn out. Once the wear limit is reached, the instrument will issue a warning and prompt to replace the brake shoes. Replacement is needed.

  3. When replacing, please replace the brake pads provided with the original parts. Only in this way can the braking effect between the brake motor brake pads and the brake disc be very good, and the wear is very small.

  4. When replacing the brake shoes, a special tool must be used to push the brake caliper back. It is not allowed to press backward with other crowbars, otherwise it is easy to cause the brake caliper guide screw to bend and the brake pads to jam.

  5. After replacing the brake motor, be sure to step on the brake several times to eliminate the gap between the brake shoes and the brake disc, which can lead to one-sided braking and easily cause accidents.

  6. After replacing the brake shoes, a 200-kilometer break-in period is required to achieve a good braking effect. Drive the newly replaced brake shoes carefully.

The phenomenon that the braking resistor of the variable frequency brake motor cannot brake is that some of its parameters are not set here; or the resistance value of the selected braking resistor is too large.

Different power frequency converters have different wiring methods for installing braking units and braking resistors, which can be drawn according to the frequency converter used.

The variable frequency brake motor uses the braking resistor connected to the braking terminal in the frequency converter to achieve the purpose of consuming regenerative energy through the braking resistor during deceleration.

  1. In order to achieve good coordination between the frequency converter and the variable frequency motor, the frequency converter must first obtain various electrical parameters inside the controlled variable frequency motor.

  2. Reset the "acceleration and deceleration mode" of the frequency converter; 0 → linear acceleration and deceleration; 1. → static S-curve; 2. → dynamic S-curve.

This is about Brake motor I hope this helps!
