Electromagnetic brakes are mainly used in conjunction with series motors. It is widely used in metallurgy, construction, chemical industry, food, machine tools, stage, elevator, ship, packaging and other machinery, as well as brake during power failure. The resistance torque that needs to be applied to stop or decelerate the mechanical moving parts is called the braking torque. Braking torque is the basis for designing and selecting brakes, and its size is determined by the type of machinery and work requirements. The performance of the friction material (brake component) used in the electromagnetic brake directly affects the braking process, and the main factors affecting its performance are the operating temperature and the heating rate. The friction material should have a high and stable friction coefficient and good wear resistance. Friction materials are divided into metals and non-metals. The former commonly used cast iron, steel, bronze and powder metallurgy friction materials, the latter commonly used leather, rubber, wood and asbestos.
Precautions for electromagnetic brake
1. Please use the electromagnetic brake without moisture or oil. If the friction parts are stained with water or oil, the friction torque will be greatly reduced, and the braking sensitivity will be reduced. In order to avoid these situations in use, please add a cover.
2. When using in a dusty place, please put all brakes in the box. Electromagnetic brakes below 60KGM can be vertical or even higher models.
3. Please use the JS6 specification for the long axis size of the electromagnetic brake. Use one of the keys specified in JIS B1301-1959 to install the shaft.
4. Considering factors such as thermal expansion, please choose an installation shaft thrust below 0.2 mm.

5. During the installation of the electromagnetic brake, please mechanically adjust the suction gap to within plus or minus 20% of the specified value.
6. Please keep the bracket light and don't use the brake bearing to bear excessive pressure.
7. For the screws used for assembly, please use spring metal sheets and adhesives to prevent loosening.
8. When the frame on the mechanical side of the electromagnetic brake is used to maintain the leads, a terminal board is required to ensure the connection.
