An electrically operated brake, simply put, is what we commonly call a "brake." Yes, it's like the brake lever on a bicycle, the same braking mechanism we use every day, just a bit different, used in mechanical equipment across various industries.
Electrically operated brakes play a crucial role in the operation of mechanical equipment; they are the primary safety device. To ensure long-term stable operation, regular maintenance and servicing of the electrically operated brake are necessary.
First, we should regularly lubricate the moving parts of the brake to ensure normal operation during movement. Then, regularly inspect the moving parts and check for mechanical wear. If new parts need to be replaced, readjust the gap between the braking surface and the disc to ensure normal operation. If no replacement is needed, clean the surface of the parts to remove dust, dirt, and other debris. Regularly check the tightness of the bolts, paying special attention to the bolts of the electromagnet, the coil and wiring bolts, and the bolts connecting to the housing.
Next, we need to check the length of the armature stroke. This is an important part to check because, due to wear during brake operation, the armature stroke length will increase, so we need to adjust it to the normal value to ensure normal operation.
